Nice B&W Paul. Displaying my ignorance, what are the advantages of the M MONOCHROM VS the conversion of a Colour File to B&W? Steve\n\n\n Hi Bajanexile, the advantages of the Monochrom are much more detail to the files and also the files are much more pliable in lightroom except for the hi lights if the hi light is blown its not recoverable unlike a colour converted file where you can usually recover one of the red green or blue channels as usually not all of those channels will be blown. Hope this helps.
Shot in the Old Bristol Docks, City of Bristol, Avon & Somerset, England. Single RAW Frame at +1 EV.
You need good technique and fast Shutter Speeds. The Dynamic Range and the ability to recover Shadow Detail is much better than with my Canon FF System. Selenium Toned image.
Tskhaltubo is a former Soviet sanatorium, turned into a shelter for internally displaced people (IDP) from the short but intense 1992-93 Abkhaz war. Some 7000 IDP have been living here since 18 years in poor, cramped and unsanitary conditions, waiting for another future, seemingly forgotten by the rest of the world.
