Both lens are great, I believe that Planar C/Y version of 1.4/50mm is better (*sharper) wide open and it has better bokeh. Other hand, I prize more ZF.2 version of Distagon 1.4/35 over C/Y version. It simple better wide open... Very nice product photography :) Lighting and DoF are very naturals...

Albrecht, Nice shot - it brings back memories. I photographed this same scene in 1957 thereabouts with my first 35mm cmaera. It hasn't changed much - looks like a newer paintjob that's all. Thanks for sharing! Rick

I like this one. There is a calm atmosphere and the composition contributes to this as you have strong leading lines.

I'm delighted to see such a shot from a rangefinder camera. It has encouraged me to try something similar from my new - to me - M8.

I waited about three months to get this lens and the wait was well worth it!!! I was overseas when the lens finally arrived and after an 18 hour flight back to the US I opened it up right away and grabbed some quick shots in my front yard -- all credit goes to the 135 APO it is truly a remarkable creative tool!!
