This lens with Vario-Sonnar 3.5/35-70 C/Y are two most advanced Zoom lens made by Zeiss. They perform exemplary even with wide open aperture. I believe that Vario-Sonnar 2.8/24-70 is not so (, so..) bad lens either :)
