thanks very much, Jorge! Leica is a long story. I got my first Leica, the M9 in 2009 with a defect sensor, got another sensor change last year and will sell it soon. I love the M Monochrom, it simply is a beauty! The puristic design of the camera is the best I know, the files are great to work with. And I like the Leica lenses. but I use the Sony A7R almost 100% since I got it. This is a universal camera for my needs and wishes. I use any lens on it like Nikon, Canon, Leica M, Leica R and enlarging lenses. Focus for the OTUS or the Zeiss 100/2 for example is easy and perfect. Let's see, what we will get soon this year :-) more than 400 portraits are in my flickr album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dierktopp/sets/72157627967118544/

The Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS has been added to the database. Great portrait.

Dierk, you portrait work is first class and amazing. Have you been commissioned yet by some high profile person? Just wonderful! How do you like the Sony compared to the Leica? I have given up on everything else I have owned and am 100% Sony now. Well, 99% :) I still have a Nikon F6 for film work that I just love.

sorry, I missed that question long time ago :-( these are stitched images from 9 images of NEX6 with the Rhinocam adapter from fotodioxpro.com with Hasselblad medium format lenses Zeiss Distagon 4/40mm and Zeis Makro-Planar 4/120mm resulting in about 85 MPix. you find many more images on my flickr here https://www.flickr.com/photos/dierktopp/sets/72157634801332367/

in that case the eyes would be in the middle of the image and I like it better this way. The other images shows more of the head.

thanks, Jorge :-) if you want to get a feeling about the full resolution look here at a 1:1 crop: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dierktopp/15369399789/ The image is about 16.000x11.000 pixel= 170 MPixel. these images get alive on a big screen or better on a big print. You can print it 3m wide with 140 DPI!

This is a wonderful image with amazing detail in the bark and beautiful bokeh. It is my favorite of the ones you posted in this series because it does not show the paint on the trees or the big lump you see in the other photo. I really like the greens and mossy look of this photo.
