I agree, nice image and would agree with zblake re: stray hair. It is all these tiny little details that you have to pay such close attention to if you ever wanted to sell your images. Not trying to teach anyone how to suck eggs, but you must always open an image in Actual Pixels i.e. at 100% and use the Hand Tool to rove around the image. This is exacly what an Agency will do. All together, Rick? I came back from two weeks in India with some 50 portraits, after weeding out all those I didn't care to post. You can see them here if you want. And that was without even trying hard, stopping the car, or whatever. For my money, India is the portrait photographer's heaven...

Zeiss Distagon T 21mm f/2.8 ZE @ ISO 100, f/11 & 1/3 sec. Single RAW Frame.
You can't mount the dedicated Sony/Minolta tele-converter to this lens. You could mount a cheap Kenko converter or so (which I do not have).
The bird was not really happy about me, so I just had to take my time...
"Through Open Doors, 13th Century Tithe Barn, Great Coxwell, Oxfordshire, England"
A vast stone structure built by the Cistercian monks of Beaulieu. The beams, ties, braces and struts in the roof 50 ft above are a lesson in medieval architecture. The barn is still used for storage 700 years after it was built.

Five frames @ -2, -1, 0,+1 and +2 EV. Conversions in DxO, Tone Mapping with Photomatix Pro 3.2. Canon EOS 5D Mk.II and Zeiss Distagon T 21mm f/2.8 ZE @ ISO 100 & f/11.
Lovely view but on my calibrated Monitor, this looks as though it could just do with a tweak down in Curves in Photoshop. It needs just to be a little less Bright but Curves will do a much better job than just moving the brightness down on its own. Steve
Interesting angle but I would have waited for the man to pass or shot the frame from a position further forward. I am surprised that this lens at f/8 is not tack sharp in the bottom of the frame. My Zeiss Distagon T f/2.8 ZE is tack sharp between f/8 and f/11 across the whole frame. Regards Stephen
To my eye, this needs straightening? Glass looks as though it will slide off the table to the left. Easily fixed unless there is a specific reason for posting it like this. Regards Stephen

"The Ice House, Lydiard Park, Wiltshire, England"
Before freezers and refrigerators, the 18th and 19th century cooks of Lydiard Park would have relied on ice from the ice house to help them make fasionable chilled food and luxury desserts.

"In Control - Evening Star, Locomotive 92220, The Red Dragon"
Three frames shot sitting in the drivers seat looking up the line. This is worth seeing as a Master File just to wallow in the detail shown in the pipe work top left. Even I am impressed! You can't get an idea from this image of how close I am to the control wheel bottom left of centre. This was shot at f/11. DOF to die for. Hard to believe that there is a better 21mm Prime Lens out there in the market.
"Line'Em Up"
GWR 9631 Buffet Car. Built at the Swindon Works in 1934. Canon EOS 5D Mk.II with Zeiss Distagon T 21mm f/2.8 ZE lens, ISO 200 and f/11. Three RAW frames converted and Keystoned with DxO software to Photomatix Pro Vs.3.2 software for Tone Mapping
I have not really answered your question properly. I am a DxO convert. I stoped using Adobe Camera RAW about 14 months ago. I find that the RAW conversions with DxO are superior even to ACR 5.7, even in Default mode. DxO is excellent at correcting Lens Distortions and for Keystoning. The dedicated camera and lens Plug-In's are possibly the reason why. Can send you a "Get Started" methodology that I have written for others over on flickr. e-mail me at bajanexile@aol.com
Workflow: All images are viewed directly from the CF Card using BreezeBrowser Pro. I examine the images using the Magnifying Tool for sharpness. Selected images are moved to my HD. The rest are binned. RAW conversions are with DxO including adjustments for Exposure, WB and Keystoning. The 16-Bit TIFF's go to Photomatix for Tone Mapping and then to CS3 if necessary. Stephen
