I use Photoshop CS4 to process all my photos. I have many techniques for turning a photo into b&w, but for this one I used a very simple one: I started with a basic channel mixer b&w conversion and I dodged and burned all the details. Sometimes I abuse these tools (dodge and burn) and I think these are by far my favorites in Photoshop.

You can't mount the dedicated Sony/Minolta tele-converter to this lens. You could mount a cheap Kenko converter or so (which I do not have). The bird was not really happy about me, so I just had to take my time...

"Through Open Doors, 13th Century Tithe Barn, Great Coxwell, Oxfordshire, England" A vast stone structure built by the Cistercian monks of Beaulieu. The beams, ties, braces and struts in the roof 50 ft above are a lesson in medieval architecture. The barn is still used for storage 700 years after it was built. Zeiss Distagon T 21mm f/2.8 ZE @ ISO 200 & f/11.

Interesting angle but I would have waited for the man to pass or shot the frame from a position further forward. I am surprised that this lens at f/8 is not tack sharp in the bottom of the frame. My Zeiss Distagon T f/2.8 ZE is tack sharp between f/8 and f/11 across the whole frame. Regards Stephen
