Thanks dalth500. Well, I knew from my D700 years, that 6400 "could" be used in similar situations - only the D800E behaves like one stop better, (12800) and often I dont do any NR with the D800E at all, even this high. Above do have some NR to it in LR, as its a 2900x4400 crop. Somehow the "APO" tag on Zeiss & Leica seems to me to reduce noise relatively to other fine lenses, when really low on light... /Peter René

Nice framing and an extra plus for the fog that gives a fine mood to your image.

Really shows-off the fantastic resolution of the 800E

Careful not to get the new lens wet!! Nice atmosphere on this image.

Amazing! Makes me really appreciate living here :) With that 800E you can probably afford to crop all you want. This is an awesome picture. I would love to see it cropped with only the first boulders near the top.

I enjoy the light here, what about if one of the grass heads was in the plane of focus too? Wind can prove tricky, eh? Thanks

Flowers are always a draw for photographers and they are very beautiful to the eye like a sunset but can be challenging to come up with something that is beyond a botanists text book photo - I like how you have balanced the bokeh along with the green foliage with the design elements and color of the flower itself - the shadows in the internal parts of the flower are captured well ! Good work!

Thanks , I was driving home on my bike thinking of doing this shot , it is strange , but I thought it would work , finally it was better with some shadow on one of the sides . And this is what I finally chose . ;-)

Thanks for the comments. I set out to photograph just a flower when the hummingbird and Bee decided to join in.
