Testing the new zoom lens today - just went to the local lighthouse as usual. My problem is I keep thinking of the 32mm Zeiss Touit which was unbelievably Sharp! I should probably forget about those primes and enjoy this lens - it is really pretty good
Great tip! Just constrained it square... looks great. I'll upload it tomorrow. I'm at my 20 pic limit for today :) I try to get away with zero processing on my photos... for better or worse. Everything you've seen on this site so far is straight out of the camera.
Thanks aquilan! Vignetting never bothers me. I see it in a lot of my photos, but it just doesn't bother me the way it bothers some. I agree about a wider shot though... I just didn't have anything wider with me at the time. Thanks for the comment!

Not sure if it's 100% sharp, I had just set the lens wide open and I could only snap it out of the shop where my wife entered, thankfully focus was by chance almost there on his eyes so I shot immediately without any further checks. I chose the title because I made a sign to Ashu to catch his attention and he seemed to ask "what's up dad?"

Where is this? It reminds me of my trips to the White Mountains in California to see the Bristlecone forest. I like the photo, but would have liked it a bit better if the trunk in the foreground was isolated more from the BG.
