I have two different adapters. One is just a ring M42-Minolta Mount (Alpha). It's pretty thick and can cause problems with focusing at infinity. The other is really thin and it's got a chip installed. This chip enables focus confirmation in the viewfinder. It works fine unless you stop down more than f5,6.

That's a shame. Mine is luckily in perfect condition. I don't know how stuff works in Canada, but here, in Poland, there's a coupla people who can make a lens this old work like it's brand new. It usually needs some cleaning, oiling and calibration. It might be worth trying to look around your area.

Conversion with Nik's Silver Efex Pro using an Red filter to bring up some more detail in the clouds. Any preference for colour VS B&W or visa versa?

I have this lens, it's really stiff and jammed though :( What type of adapter did you use for this? I have all these exakta lenses I want to use but I find my VX to be really annoying sometimes...

Thank you! It's interesting how I shoot differently depending on the camera I use. With the FM2 or Zeiss Ikon I see differently.

thanks ZM. we have an annual hot air balloon festival here in Lexington VA every first few days of July. This was from last year. The fine BW submissions here have sparked a renewed interest so I will try some more digital and analog.
