The high altitude really comes through in this image. Incredible.

The scale of this place is difficult to grasp... this photo was taken while standing at 15,000 feet with all of the peaks well over 20,000 feet or more than twice as tall as Oregon's Mt. Hood. Some of these peaks are virtually unclimbable because of the degree of technical climbing and the high altitude makes physical effort very difficult

This really shows the scale of the area. very impressive.

It is the Himalayas - in the Khumbu Valley of Nepal on the way to Mt. Everest base camp - it was an amazing 18 day trek among the most majestic mountains on Earth!

Where is this? The Andes? The Himalayas? Somewhere else? It is beautiful and looks like an amazing trip.
