I prefer the color version of this flower. even if it alone looks great. When You compare it one next to one with colour version, this one looks little washed out :) But I think You mastered this B&W conversion well :) Maybe the subject of conversion isn't made to this. It is probally something from Asteraceae..
Perfect use of Macro-Planar :) I really like closed aperture like f/8 or more at Macrophotography. I shot mainly with f/22, and even it is so small aperture there is no observed diffraction effect because real dimension of field is small.
