Bill was a Britt I met in a hostel in Puerto Natales, Chile. He had biked all through Argentina, camping by rivers and fishing for his meals. He brought his own bottle of wine to the bar and asked the owner if he can borrow a cup to use.

Berlin 1956 when I was there in the British Army -- I went on a coach tour ( with an East German 'Minder' so we had to be careful what we photographed !) I had my Berlin bought Zeiss CONTAX III with the 50mm f1.5 un-coated SONNAR lens and Perutz Peromnia film loaded

Taken in CEBU, Philippines with my 1950's Carl Zeiss 'CONTINA' folding 35mm rangefinder I take for B&W photos. outdated Ilford Delta 100 film processed in Crawley Formula FX37. Jesus seems to have been re-trained from being a Carpenter ---
Taken many years ago in Dubrovnik-- at the time I had a Carl Zeiss IKOFLEX camera I had bought new in Germany when I was there in the British Army 1956-58 for the equivalent in Pounds Sterling of £ 15 -00 -- it had a Zeiss Opton-Tessar lens which was 'good' for a while then it sunk into the lens mount and I could never get any sharper photos -- I was told those 1950's Opton-Tessars were set in pitch and when it got HOT the pitch softened. I used Ilford FP3 film. I did a 20x16" print for Camera Club competi
This photo was taken with a Zeiss Ikon 515/2 medium format folder with a Nettar Anastigmat 11 cm f4.5 lens (wasn't on the pull-down list) on 120 film, Ilford HP5.
