It looks quite different to the lenses made by Cosina. Anyone know where is this produced? Maybe Germany?

I had the chance to hold this lens in my hands! The 12 glass elements in this fairly big lens are weigthy, but in combination with an professional camera body, like Nikon D800(E), or similar FX Canon's, there is an special and solid feeling, at least for me. I don't like lightweight cameras!

IMHO the worst thing about new Distagon is a is good that it is told to be half of Planar 1.2/55 C/Y but is quite much :( It is expected to cost about double of current most expensive lens from ZF.2/ZE...

I am currious about new Planar 1.4/50 ZA. I can image that it wouldn't be so good as Mr Nasse told us, but why to issue new Planar 1.4/50 with new lens formula, if Distagon 1.4/55 is a only true and right form of focal length of 55mm...I am not sure what to choose, both of lens are only pre-announced and it isn't sure for 100% that they would be launched as they are currently described by i need to stay calm and wait :)
best regards, WZ.
