However, the lens caps supplied with the ZF and ZE lenses are far from the build quality one would expect from Zeiss. That is why "HardCap" lens caps are the best bet for your Zeiss lenses. They are machined from solid aluminium, hand assembled, stay on your lens and made in the USA.

hmmm i want to consider ordering an 82mm for the 18mm whose cap broke immediately the same day the lens arrived. besides would be mice having also 67mm size. Exactly how does the order process work?

I haven't seen any seller of Hardcap at ebay :( I would be interested if I could buy it with ebay. Old prophecy says that everything that isn't available at ebay, it couldn't be bought. Everything which is not found with Google, it doesn't exist.

Nice would be, if ZEISS would be engraved in these lens caps! But therefore, it requires the permission from ZEISS first!
