Lilita - This is taken from the recently opened waterfront promenade south of pier 17 area. I have been to Brooklyn Heights many times. Yes I agree it is a stunning view from there. Somehow, I have not gotten good photos from there.

I was at the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. If you haven't been, be sure to go. Fabulous lower Manhattan skyline, closer distance so the effect is astonishing. Even diehard New Yorkers (like me), literally stood amazed like a silly tourist.
And be sure to walk around Brooklyn Heights itself for glorious old homes that have been beautifully restored.
