Photographer notes

The Komodo Dragon is the largest living lizard (~90kgs or 150lb). From Indonesia, they eat carrion and have approximately 60 teeth! According to wikipedia, "the Komodo dragon uses its tongue to detect, taste, and smell stimuli, as with many other reptiles, with the vomeronasal sense using a Jacobson's organ, a sense that aids navigation in the dark". You can see little vents in the tip of his forked tongue.
