Don't forget he was a cousin of the King, Stephen. That went a very long towards shaping the Church's view of his somewhat "unusual" theology...:-)

I agree, wonderful IQ and interesting information. Always amazes me that someone who would have been strongly embedded in Christianity could encompass reincarnation. Just as well the equivalent of the Spanish Inquisition was not in place in France at that time, as he might well have met a nasty end. Burnt at the Stake at the very least. Stephen

3 pictures from the sumptuous stables at Chantilly. THey were so lavish, because Louis-Henri de Bourbon, Prince de Condé, who had them built int he the early XVIIIth century, was convinced that he would be reincarnated as a horse, and wanted his future life to be spent in his usual princely style...
