I'm finding that the output as viewed by iPhoto/Preview is nearly a full stop brighter than shown in the Silverfast scanning package's window. That, plus the tiff->jpg conversion, is making it hard to post what I *think* I'm getting.

Not a statement photo, for sure. Its only value is to help someone wondering about the bokeh of the Sonnar at the near-focus point.

Another non-statement photo that might help someone wondering about the Sonnar bokeh. My near-sightedness and lack of steady hand are not as bad as usual, but this is the lower limit of what this lens can do -- it's better than I am.
