My favorite local band playing at the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs, NY. They have since changed a few of the members of the band but they are still as great as ever. If you are a fan of Contemporary Irish music, these guys are highly recommended.
The sun on this morning was barely up. What caught my eye as I worked my way up stream to the lower falls was the reflection of the golden sky on the water.

Downtown Concord, MA, known as a place that saw a major turning point in the history of America. Early in the morning of April 19, 1775, Colonists got word that British soldiers were marching on Lexington and Concord to seize and destroy arms and munition stored there. The militia gathered in both towns to await the arrival of troops. This action became to be officially known as the beginning of the American Revolution.
This tiny patch of ground in Lexington, MA saw the exchange of the first volleys of canon and musket fire that began what was later known as the United States of America.
Buckman tavern, built around the end of the first decade of the 18th century, was the gathering place for the militia in the early hours of April 19, 1775 to await the arrival of British troops who were charged with seizing and destroying the arms and munition that the colonists were storing in Concord a few miles away.
As we traveled up the mountain road, we entered very thick fog which turned into full blown snow when we approached the top of the pass. It was about 60 degrees down below.
This smaller, yet no less beautiful waterfall is located at the trail head to the main falls. We've traveled here a few times in the early morning just to photograph this little area.
