On my way back to Socorro from Roswell, I saw the cloud inversion at one of the mountain peaks at Valle del Sol. The inversion itself already made a good picture, but I patiently waited for the sunset to set on the side of the road. At one point, the sun at the horizon peaked through clouds on the opposite side and cast its warm light on a portion of the grassy foreground, and I knew this was it. This is an unusual wedding photo since it is considered unlucky for the groom to see the bride before the wedding in her wedding dress. However, in Asia, the pre-wedding shoot receives more emphasis than the wedding shoot itself. My wife and I decided to do it ourselves. So while she was braiding her hair for the shoot, I took the opportunity to take a "selfie" of both of us in our soon-to-be bedroom. Her smile really makes this photo our favorite of up-close shot in the shoot.
