Experimenting with a new set up. I do remember I was stopped down most, or all of the way. f/16 or maybe 22. I had a B+W IR Cut filter stacked with a Graduated ND. The sky was dark thus I rolled the ND filter so as to allow the skylight to pass and cut back on the reflective light bouncing off of the landscape. I later cringed when I realized that I was set to record only JPGs and not the RAW files. This photo is straight out of the camera and I now breathe a sigh of relief.
I guess I should have mowed the lawn and trimmed the one bush directly behind the girl. Personally I never much liked the stripes painted on the support pole for the pool slide, or the swing-set for that matter; but I was over-ruled. Makes for busy photos. But be it so humble (tongue in cheek), there's no place like ...
Taken at a local school during U.N. Day. Though the day is extraordinary school events are common. The irony of the photo is that the European aspect of the Eurasian girl is American yet the girl was representing France. I guess it is all keeping in line with the unity theme of U.N. Day. (The Asian aspect is Filipino)
