In our time of so called modern digital photography with lots of camera program automatics, autofocus, image stabilizer, video etc., I personally still enjoy using a medium camera with roll film. 12 - 16 frames keeping me watching and having more control, and not just shooting. The camera mounted on a tripod, precise manual focusing, using a hand held light meter, and waited for the best light situation, is relaxing for me, and I am looking forward getting the slide film back from the photo lab.

The image shows an historical TESSAR 3,5/50mm from 1935, and the new WORLD CHAMPION, the Distagon 1,4/55mm as prototype, beating ALL existing standard glasses with f=stop 1,4!! I've seen comparison of existing 1,4 glasses (incl. Zeiss glasses), this new 1,4/55m beats them ALL at 1,4! -Estimated price range 3,500 - 4,000 € with Nikon or Canon mounts, and available in 2013 next summer/autum!
