More testing my CONTAX RTS II Quartz with the 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* which has been suffering from 'Back-Focus' -- here I tried a 'Street Candid' on the move, with camera held at waist level full aperture f1.4 in poor light, outdated HP5 Plus this time processed in Promicrol liquid to see if there was any different in Fog Level and film speed from ID11 -- negs were actually THINNER but fog level looked the same. I pre-focussed in front of the man and the focus is acceptable. I cropped the neg scan and straightened it up.
testing my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* on my Yashica FR1 I took a few 'candids' as I was sitting in Brentwood HIgh Street with camera at waist level and set focus on a mark on the ground. Really I needed some 'Fill-in Flash' as the buildings cut off light from faces but of course I risked getting Punched if the subjects saw a flash !
testing my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* for 'Back Focus' I put it on my Yashica FR1 and it was sharp this time so my Contax RTSII Quartz must have problems.
London, Trafalgar Square-- all these 'characters' have appeared over the last few years hoping to get some money outside the National Gallery -- years ago they would not have been allowed -- they are very 'wary' of Camera Carriers !! I managed to sneak this one when he was not looking -- I had some old 'FP4 ' loaded NOT FP4+ and processed in to FX15 formula 1+1 i make up myself.
More tests with my 'gift' CONTAX RTS II Quartz and the Planar lens -- here is a Window Cleaner in action -- I had to focus quickly before he saw me ! I used outdated Fuji Super G 100 film rated at 64 ASA and home-processed in C41. I think there may be a LIGHT LEAK now in the film plane-- see the red area below -- I had to change the mirror bumper foam as on use it all crumbled after so many years of non-use.
