Horatio Nelson was born on 29 September 1758 in a rectory in Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk, England, the sixth of eleven children of the Reverend Edmund Nelson and his wife Catherine. His naval career began on 1 January 1771 (I make that when he was 12 years old), when he reported to the third-rate HMS Raisonnable as an Ordinary Seaman and coxswain under his maternal uncle, Captain Maurice Suckling, who commanded the vessel. Jorge - yes the 21mm is an amazing lens but you have to be very very careful with focus. Mine is over focused at infinity so I have to remember to carefully back off the focus ring just a bit - part of the fun but also can be frustrating when you come back home and find the images are soft because of a focusing issue.
